Catherine was a homemaker and a wonderful mother.She was a Catechist at St,Clement’s Parish for several years. She was a member of the C.W.L.and served two terms as president. Catherine loved music especially singing with her brothers at Christmas parties or family reunions.
She welcomed many people into her home including her younger brother Mark when he first left P.E.I. Next was her widowed Mother followed by a young cousin who stayed for two years, Catherine then invited her daughter and four grandchildren to live with her when in need of a home. Lastly her great granddaughter grew up in her home. Catherine’s home was always full of people to care for.
She often reminded her children to “ do things from the goodness of your heart” and “ say your prayers.”
Catherine lived these words as an example to others.
She is survived by daughters Janet Currie (Dartmouth), Helen Currie (Dartmouth) and Sharon Currie (Ontario). As well as grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by husband Alfred Currie, daughter Barbara Roberts and son Allen Currie.
Her family thanks all staff and nurses at 3 West Long Term Care, Camp Hill Hospital for their care and genuine love for Catherine.
