I am still in shock by Brian's sudden passing.

  There were lots of new faces in high school which,  most are only distant memories, but I remember Brian. We were in the same science class in grade 11.  It was a few days into the class, when by chance, I set at the same table.  After that we spent every class there together.

  One project we were to  make was a mini ecosystem and Brian was throwing out these funny names for the fish we were to use. The ladies of the group were not impressed by those macho names but he and I had a few chuckles in the process.  I still get a smirk thinking about those times. 

 I did not have the pleasure of being in his class again our graduating year and lost touch after the summer.  I  missed a chance a few years after grad when we passed in public that one time. I had hope we would run into each other again but had not been so lucky.

I am so sorry to hear of Brian's passing.  It's always difficult when a sudden tragedy takes someone you love.  I remember Brian from years ago when I lived in the area, and through my son, Nigel. I was so very sorry to hear of Brian's passing. Brian was a very kind soul and was always very kind to me. He put together my bureaus and only rolled his eyes a few times when I tried to help. When I saw him he always asked if I was ok and was there anything that he could do around the house for me. He spoke warmly about his parents and brothers. I will miss him. I imagine there is no pain more far reaching and deeper than losing a child. My heart and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time.

I am sending this note of condolence with a very heavy heart. I got to know Brian thru the SEDMHA tournament as i am one of the guys that looks after the Shearwater Arena. When Brian was in the Community College in Stellarton i had the pleasure of having him out to my house a few times for some laughs & also he helped me build a fence on my property. I never thought that when i shook his hand at the SEDMHA tournament last Sunday & said i'll see you next year that i would be sending this note. I happened to be in Dartmouth this past weekend & my brother Bill heard the news yesterday& i couldn't believe it when he told me. I have been thinking of him since and i will miss his joking & good humour next year at the tournament. I know you will miss him very much &  i send you my deepest sympathy.
