Kathleen A. (Openshaw) Martin, 92, of South Dartmouth passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Born in New Bedford; she was the daughter of Ann (Munds) and Harry A. Openshaw. She was the beloved wife of 73 years to the late Antone “Tony” Martin Jr. She is survived by her sons Lawrence and his wife Mabel; Kenneth and his wife Angela; Michael and his wife Susan; a brother Harry Openshaw, a sister Joan Medeiros, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathleen or Kay as she was sometimes referred to, lived a full life as a companion, homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Kay will be remembered for her sharp wit and sense of humor. She was highly skilled with her knitting needles and crochet hooks but most of all loved and cherished her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Kathleen’s funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10:00AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748.
