Scott was raised in Danbury, CT, and attended Danbury Public Schools. His love of cars turned into his passion for racing. Scott raced his #21 car at the Danbury Race arena, in the Plainfield and Thompson Speedways.
Scott owned and ran, Sasso and Son Trucking Company for over 30 years prior to his retirement. Scott was past President of the VFW Men’s Auxiliary of Post 149, a member of The American Legion, The Eagles of Port Orange, and The Living Legends of Auto Racing.
Scott leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Nancy (Moody) Sasso, daughter Sara (Hennessy), daughter Jill (Roe), and son Scott Jr; he also leaves behind two wonderful grandsons, Brandon Mora and Liam Taveras. In addition, Scott is survived by his brother James Davidson Sasso (Roberta), as well as his sisters Jane Wielgoszinski and Christie Strid. Last but not least he leaves behind his beloved Yogi dog.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March, 8th, 2021 at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph Church, 8 Robinson Ave. Danbury, CT 06810.
