Robert was born in Portchester, NY to Elsie Adams on May 30, 1930. He attended Portchester High School in New York. He married Emily Lowden in November 1953 in Greenwich, CT. He worked as a heat and frost insulator and asbestos worker most of his life. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and was awarded several medals.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Emily.
Robert is survived by his daughter Patricia Babcock, his son Robert Adams Jr, both of Danbury, and his son Glen Adams and wife Beth of Newtown. He is also survived by his stepbrother Barry Birdsall of Florida; his grandchildren Robert Babcock and wife Megan of Tolland, Diane Babcock of Charlotte, NC, Olivia, Lauren and Brendan Adams of Newtown; His great grandchildren Reid and Nate Babcock and Mia Coelho.
Services will be privately held by the family.
The family would like to thank Danbury Hospital and Regional Hospice for their great care of Robert.
In lieu flowers, contributions can be made to Regional Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Robert Adams.
