Michael grew up in Danbury, a city that he loved and lived in most of his life. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1973, where he earned the nickname "Killer" on the basketball court and "The Danbury Dancing Machine" on the dance floor. In his early adulthood, he owned and operated the Keough Radiator Shop in Danbury for ten years.
Later in life, he attended UMASS Amherst to acquire his certification as a groundskeeper. He combined his love of golf with his career to become a groundskeeper for The Town of Ridgefield Golf Course for over 20 years. Outside of his profound passion for Golf, He enjoyed taking long road trips with his family, vacationing at the beach in Rhode Island, and was a cigar aficionado. Michael will be dearly missed and always remembered for his sense of humor and calm demeanor.
Michael was predeceased by his father, William T. Kilcourse and Brother-in-law Jorge Willemsen
He is survived by the following family members: his loving wife, Grace Kilcourse. His mother, Catherine Valluzzo Kilcourse. His three children, Lauren Kilcourse, Stassavaria Thompson, and Michael Jr. Kilcourse. His beloved granddaughters: Lucille Carmen and Berenice Noelle. His six siblings: Susan Willemsen, Jane and Ned Bowman, Patrick and Gloria Kilcourse, and William Kilcourse Jr.
Michael requested a cremation as opposed to a traditional burial service. Ceremony arrangements will be private.
