Maureen I. McGuire

Maureen was born on March 14, 1934, a daughter to the late John and Edith (Thompson) Tyrell. Mrs. McGuire grew up in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School. She and her husband, Hugh, were married in 1958.

Maureen was a member of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church. After her retirement from Demetron Research, she volunteered with Regional Hospice, NORD, and the United Way’s Senior Volunteer program.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Mary and her son, Michael, both of Brookfield. In addition, she leaves behind her niece, Constance Tyrell of Danbury, her walking-buddy, Barbara Randall of Brookfield and a circle of well-loved extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Maureen was preceded in death by her infant son, Hugh, her brothers, John, Robert, & Alfred and her sister, Rita.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funeral services and burial for Maureen will be held privately.
