Margaret was born in Brooklyn, New York in March 1945. After graduating from John Jay High School in 1962, she went to work as support staff at Elizabeth Arden in NYC. It was there she met Jerry, the love of her life. Married on January 20, 1967, the two were each other’s best friend and fiercest defender. They welcomed two children soon after.
In 1975, the Walsh family moved to Danbury, CT. Margaret’s parents soon followed. She was an only child so they would follow her anywhere! In addition to managing family schedules and activities, Margaret also worked many jobs throughout the years. Her last job was working in administrative services at Duracell HQ in Bethel, CT, a job she loved that brought her much happiness and wonderful friendships.
Margaret was a travel agent at heart and loved planning trips. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a cruise to Alaska, she loved to explore places with Jerry.
As many know, she loved food, The Food Network, and trying out new recipes. She always wanted to know what everyone was having for dinner! Margaret was also known for her love of animals. Many cats and dogs, and even the occasional bird or squirrel, received constant love and care.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Russell Rochon and her husband Gerald Walsh. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Ellen Walsh, son Michael Walsh and his wife Alison and her beloved grandsons Brendan and Evan.
The family would like to thank Laurena Fecarotta for her loving care over the past few months.
