Jeanne was born in Milford, CT on January 17, 1919, the daughter of the late Earl and Regina Ferris. After graduating from Danbury High School, Jeanne continued her education ay St. Joseph College in West Hartford, CT. As a young woman, she worked at the Danbury Town Hall.
She was a long time member of the Ridgewood Country Club, the Danbury Garden Club and Saint Peter’s parish. She was an accomplished pianist and an avid bridge player.
After raising her family, she returned to the work force and was employed by Perkin Elmer where she participated in the Hubble Telescope Project.
Jeanne is survived by her daughters: Maureen Gardner and her husband, Larry, of Ridgewood, NJ; Jeanne Sweeney and her husband, Bob, of Danbury, CT. Her seven grandchildren: Kara Gardner (Todd Master); Meagan Lynn (Gary); Kyle Manacek (Kate); Chris Taylor (Karen); Connor Sweeney; Caitlin Gasiorski (Luke); Colleen Sweeney. Eleven great grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Joyce Ferris, also survive.
She was predeceased by her daughters Cathleen Taylor and Rosemary Manacek, son-in-law Jeff Taylor, grandson Gregg Taylor and her four siblings Roger Ferris, Earl Ferris, Gloria Adrian and Maureen Martinez.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 at Saint Peter’s Church, Danbury. Burial will be followed at Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received from 9am-10am on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
