Born on November 1, 1923, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Tony lived a full life marked by love, laughter, and a deep devotion to his family.
Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruth, with whom he shared 58 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home in Danbury, CT—a home that became a haven not only for their children but for anyone fortunate enough to cross their threshold. Known for their generosity and love, Tony and Ruth were often seen as surrogate parents by many extended family members.
A natural entertainer, Tony brought joy to every gathering. Whether he was cracking jokes, sharing stories, or simply being his playful self, he had a way of making everyone feel at ease. Holidays were especially magical in the Rodriguez home, as Tony took pride in hosting family and friends with open arms and a lighthearted spirit. He never took life too seriously and spread that sense of ease and fun to those around him.
Tony dedicated many years of his career to Columbia Magnetic, a division of CBS, before retiring. Though his work life was meaningful, it was his family and the relationships he built that truly defined his legacy.
Tony is survived by his loving children: Roselind Rodriguez, Jimmy (Winnie) Rodriguez , Abner Rodriguez, and Lenny (Candy) Rodriguez. His cherished grandchildren: Michelle Rodriguez and Bethany Mena (Oscar); and his adored great-grandchildren: Hailey, Madyson, and Hannah, who brought him endless pride and joy. Tony also leaves behind a large, loving extended family of nieces and nephews who treasured his humor, wisdom, kindness and support.
Tony’s passing leaves a profound void, but his legacy of love, kindness, and humor will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
