Ernest was born in Oakland, Nebraska March 4, 1931, the son of the late Ernest and Siri (Fors) Lindstrom. Raised and educated in Nebraska, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He had been a resident of Oakville for over fifty years, and was a retired employee of the Connecticut Light and Power Co. He had been a resident of Danbury for the past two years. Ernest enjoyed living life to it’s fullest, and was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Shirley.
In addition to his wife of over 61 years, Ernest is survived by his children: Erik E. Lindstrom and his wife Rosemary of Danbury, Ernest Lindstrom Jr. of Oakville, Michelle Lindstrom of New Hampshire, and his grandson Timothy of New Hampshire. He was predeceased by his sisters Eunice Lockhart and Donna Vee Swanson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday June 2, 2018 in St. Peter Church, Danbury. Burial will be in the Wooster Cemetery, Danbury.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury on Friday June 1st, from 5 to 7 pm.
