Elizabeth "Jane" Hossan

Elizabeth was born in Norwalk, CT, a daughter of Andrew and Emma Slauson. She attended Danbury schools.

Elizabeth has been a member of St. Edward the Confessor Parish in New Fairfield Ct. since 1972.

Her faith not only guided her throughout her life, but was also a beacon of hope for others. She was the bedrock of her family where her vibrancy, passion, and love touched us all.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her mother, father and sister, Sue Dingee.

In addition to being a wife of 49 years, she is survived by her children: Richard Hossan; Steven Hossan and his wife, Jennifer; and Amy Hughes and her husband, Brian, along with two beloved grandchildren: Megan and Emma Hughes.

Elizabeth is also survived by her sisters: Patricia Johnston, Barbara Dunlap, Linda Corless, Kathleen Wilson, Andrea Beschle, Darlene Pignanelli, and Mary Brown along with many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Robert Wolfe, Parochial Vicar, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury, CT.

Friends and family will be received from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, Oct 20, 2021 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury.
