Tom and I celebrated our anniversaries together as we did every year.  It was Bill and Elaine's last one number 55.
Elaine passed 2+ months before Bill. 
Only God knew it be their last. We miss them terribly 😔 

Bill and I became friends through men's fellowship groups at Prince of Peace, and we enjoyed many conversations over coffee, faith discussions and prayers.  Bill loved Elaine and his family very much as was a very proud father and grandfather.  We all appreciated Bill's insights at our meetings and we have wonderful memories of him.  I will keep Bill and his family in my prayers and I look forward to seeing him again in Paradise.  Matt Bowen

I was privileged to grow up knowing Bill as Mr. Walsh and now that we have kids, Uncle Bill. He spoke the eulogy at my father’s funeral and I’ll never forget his words. There would be random letters and photos sent to me in college and into adulthood.   Not hearing from “UB” through a personal email or letter will leave a void in my life. Bill was a man of many words and a constant cheerleader for me and my families (plural for Patterson and Valentini). My heart is saddened by the loss of Elaine and now Bill. But I know, just as he said 25 years ago at my father’s funeral, my dad will have the Heaven routine down so he could show Bill how to do it when he got there. Rest Easy, UB. 

On June 10th of this year my husband Tom and I celebrated ours and Bill's and Elaine's wedding anniversary. Theirs was June 5th and ours the 10th. Their date was quite unique 6/5/65. It was their 55th and our 59th. We had done this several times over the years. Never in my wildest dreams would I think it was their last.  My  heart aches for their children and grandchildren . We lost one of our best friends this week.  It was heartbreaking to his family and many friends.  It happened about 2 1/2 months after Bill lost his "very best friend, is wife Elaine."

After we heard this sad news, Jim and I watched a video of a 2011 Mediterranean Cruise Elaine had planned and executed with all of us laughing, joking and loving every minute together.  It was so wonderful to see Bill and Elaine alive and well and enjoying life.  Their close friends Tom and Corrine Kowalski had put this video together which included the photos we all had taken in Rome, Sicily, Turkey, Greece, etc.   There were many of these wonderful trips that Bill and Elaine had organized over the years together with groups of friends.  It made us really happy thinking about how much they loved it besides their friends enjoying all the time spent together in a new place.  The most recent was Bill's 80th birthday celebration with their children.)  Of course, the tragedy of losing their wonderful son, Brian (Jim's godson) was a heavy burden to carry.  As everyone is saying, now there is "a grand reunion" in heaven.

Bill was incredible at keeping in touch with probably 100 close friends--texts, emails, phone calls, sending photos and news clippings in manila envelopes, Christmas cards, dinners and get-togethers, etc.  Our three daughters are part of his fan club.  We would guess the average person has 3 or 4 close friends.  If you have 10, you are extraordinary.  Bill had at least 100, all ages and walks of life.  That is super-extraordinary!  And we are all heartbroken to lose this super-extraordinary person.

Our deepest sympathy to your family during this sad and difficult time in your lives.  Marty worked with Bill at Sam Pack Ford.  He really enjoyed working with him.  Since we returned to our home in Pennsylvania,  he kept in contact with us through Facebook.  We also got a Christmas card from him and your mom every year.  He was one great guy and will be missed by those who were fortunate to have known him.  May your cherished memories keep his legacy alive and help ease your pain.  May GOD bless your family. When we were all young and in the Fall had the opportunity to visit Bill & Elaine's cottage in Niantic, CT the highlight was when Bill led the children (usually from several families) on a very scary trip down the "Secret Road" At the end of the road was a "closed for the season" beach club with over 100 small changing rooms.  The kids (all under 10) would listen to Bill's scary story about what lay behind the doors and then he would disappear.  The kids would run like crazy up and down the aisles trying to find Uncle Bill.  Occasionally the adults would make a scary sound from one of the rooms..  Forty-Five years later those now very adult children who were there still remember Uncle Bill and his Secret Road.   

Wow what a heartbroken time for me. I spoke with Bill often as late as last Tuesday at length. He conveyed his challenge without Elaine & Brian, only because as he said to me did he mind having someone listen to him vent. What a great human being. What a "real man", honest, strong, soft and sound! After Brian passed we kept in constant touch and saw each other when in Baltimore. I've been speaking to him every week or so since Elaine passed. So I will miss him, miss his confidence in our friendship, miss his sports talk but most importantly I will miss his ever lasting phrase he always said to me.........."luv you man!" I can't believe I will never hear that pass his lips again. Bill...."luv you man!"

First met the Walsh family through Brian back in 77 or 78, and I can honestly say to this day, Mr Walsh was the nicest and kindest man I’ve ever met. Whether in his home, on the diamond or at the stadium watching his beloved Jets, he always made you feel like you were a Walsh. Lucky are those who crossed his path .  🍀 

We met Bill yrs ago at Sammons jazz for the arts event. He was so kind and friendly we quicky became friends.  Over the yrs we connected at several other jazz events around the Dallas area. We will miss his always smiling face.   

My cousins  Elaine and Bill were the kindest, loving people you could have known. Bill adored his wife and family. I never saw him without a broad smile and a wonderful laugh. He made everyone feel special and loved.  Rest in Gods loving arms 🌹🌹🦋🦋

My name is Emily Lee, formally Emily Frost, and my brother Michael and SIL Anjie  are very good friends of Tom and Michelle. 
Not only did I know Mr. Walsh through that connection, but I was lucky to have him as a substitute in my classroom many times. 
My students would beg for me to get Mr. Walsh if I knew I was going to be out. He always brought something a little “extra” to the class that day, to teach the kids, which they loved! I always enjoyed reading his notes after he subbed, as he was always quite funny, and to the point about everything that went on during the day. 
I know hw will be missed dearly, but what an awesome guardian angel he will be for the Walsh family.
