William Henry Randall

William “Bill” Henry Randall died peacefully the morning of December 6, 2015. Born July 26, 1936, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Bill grew up in a large loving family. After graduating from Athens High School he farmed until joining the U.S. Army in 1958 where he served proudly until 1966. Bill returned to Michigan and began his career repairing tractors and farm equipment for the John Deere dealership in Athens, Michigan. In 1984, Bill moved to Texas where he worked as the Manager for the Heavy Equipment Division for the City of Dallas until retiring in 2000. Anyone who knew Bill knew he loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with his family hunting and fishing. Bill was a humble servant of God. He and his wife Oma were members of First Wesleyan Church in Battle Creek, Michigan from 1967 until 1984. He maintained and drove the buses for the church Bus Ministry. He also served on the church board during their building program. After moving to Texas he was a member of and loved attending Faith Bible church in Desoto. He spent many hours with his wife helping those in need, working at their church and volunteering with the North Texas Food Bank. Bill was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Elon and Inabelle Rhinard Randall, his sister Nancy and brothers James and Harvey. He is survived by his cherished wife, Oma, children Tim and his wife Lisa, Bill and his wife Anita, Grace and her husband Tom Harrison and Matt and his wife Teresa. “Grandpa” to Sage, Jill, Laura, Tori, Clayton, Lilly, Will and great granddaughter, Hazel. Bill is also survived by two sisters, Ann Brewer and Jane Olmstead of Michigan. Services will be held at Faith Bible Church on Thursday, December 10, 2015. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Internment will take place at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on a future date to be determined by the family.
