Miss Virginia, 94, passed away on October 28, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Virginia was born in Waxahachie, Texas on May 31, 1925. She was raised in Dallas with alongside her older brother, Tafton, two sisters, Rosie, Nell, Elsie, and her twin brother, Virgil. Her childhood was a joyful one thanks to an especially a close relationship with her devoted mother who always looked out for and lovingly cared for her.
After high school, Virginia became a loan teller at First National Bank where she excelled and made a positive impact on her customers. She was so popular that it wasn’t uncommon for customers to bypass other tellers and form a long line at her window just for the pleasure of being served by her. Virginia also often received gifts from her customers around Christmas time. She was a faithful member of First Dallas Baptist Church.
Virginia had a giving heart especially for her beloved friends and family we. As her mother got older, she acted as her caregiver. She also looked after her two sisters when they were in need of help. Virginia had a long time boyfriend, Jim, with whom she spent forty wonderful years.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
