Beth was born in 1927 to John M. and Opal Maberry in Alvarado, Texas. She graduated from Alvarado High School and pursued a career in cosmetology. She met Roy John Brandon after high school, and they married November, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. She and Roy John lived in Fort Worth and then Honolulu, Hawaii for two years as he served in the Navy. Upon returning to the States, she was blessed with three daughters. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother her entire life. Beth established a warm and inviting home for her family and friends in Ozona, Midland, Hobbs, New Mexico, Houston, and Alvarado. She was involved in her daughters activities at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Midland where she also taught Sunday School. She was a member of United Methodist Women, a Girl Scout leader, and was active in the PTA. In retirement, she was an active member of Alvarado Methodist Church, the Clio Club and the Alvarado Garden Club. She loved to cook, entertain, design flower arrangements, and paint in her spare time. More than her activities, Beth was a woman who radiated a beautiful smile, and embodied a spirit of generosity and sacrificial love. Her love, perseverance, and devotion was poured into the lives of her husband, daughters, and their families, along with her extended family and lifelong friends. They will forever love and cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. and Opal Maberry; her five brothers; and son-in-law, William Paul Ofield. She is survived by her devoted husband of 74 years, Roy John Brandon; daughters, Claudia Ofield, Rebecca Tabor (Guy), Diann Parry (Bob); six grandchildren, Brandon Ofield, Rachel Mais, Paul Tabor, Katheryn Stults, Brent Connett, Lauren Carter; and six great-grandchildren, Grace, Olivia, Elliott, Meyer, William, and Lillian.
