Tony Wayne Alonzo was born February 10, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Clarence Alonzo Jr. and Patricia Diane Woods. He grew up in Dallas, Texas in a relatively average-sized family with his father, mother, and 3 siblings. He attended school in the Dallas Independent School District, and graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, Class of 1980. During his early twenties, he united in Holy Matrimony for 28 years to the mother of his three sons, Patricia Alonzo Jeter. Later in life, he married the mother of his daughter, Tamelia Flanagan Alonzo. Eventually, he found true love and reasons to smile with his best friend and sweetheart, Ingrid Berry.
Tony accepted Christ at an early age. Under the pastorship of this father, Rev. Clarence Alonzo Jr, he was spiritually affiliated with Christ Holy Sanctified at Deliverance Tabernacle Church. Later, he relocated to Carthage, Texas and became an active member of Faith Temple Christ Holy Sanctified Church where he served as a Minister under the leadership of his uncle, the late Bishop Dames L. Woods. Lastly, he attended Cornerstone Baptist Church of Arlington Texas.
Tony was an extremely hard-working husband and father who was dedicated to financially providing for his family. For 20+ years, he was employed with Tesco Corporation in Carthage, Texas. Later in life, he Co-founded (TWA) Tony Wayne Alonzo Enterprises with his son, Tony Wayne Alonzo Jr. Also, for many years he worked for Amazon.
During his leisure time, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family. His hobbies included family gatherings, playing golf, and going to the gun range. He was an avid gun collector.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Alonzo Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Patricia Diane Alonzo of Corinth, Texas; his devoted sweetheart of two years, Ingrid Berry; his three sons, Marco (Keisha) Alonzo of Lewisville, Texas; Tony Wayne Jr (Angelina) Alonzo of Alexandria, Louisiana, Patrick Alonzo of Austin, Texas; his precious daughter, Leia Nicole Alonzo of Mansfield, Texas; his three grandchildren, Avelina Maylei, Aiven Malachi, and Autumn Faith; and three siblings, Michelle Alonzo Smith of Dallas, Texas, Rachel (Edward) Williams of Dallas, Texas; and Leslie Alonzo of Corinth, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who were all very special to him.
