Toni was born in Dallas, Texas, on September 3, 1942. She attended Ursuline Academy and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1960.
Toni started her career in fashion and modeling as the face that launched the Sanger Harris department store in 1961, then created the store's Young Texan Board educating young men and women in fashion and providing a focus for community activities. She then married Bill Heard, focusing on raising her son Mark.
In the 1980's she resumed her career as VP of Design for Units Clothing, a manufacturer of women knitwear.
Traveling extensively, she appeared on regional morning TV shows and directed photo shoots and product development with manufacturers in Europe and Asia.
Partnering with her son Mark, they formed Iconic Design, a fashion design company.
On May 9, 1998, she married William Field and started promoting community activities with the Levenson PR Group, then directed the Dallas office of Cotton Inc., a marketing organization for US cotton growers.
In 2006, her dream to do interior and floral design work was realized by starting Antoinette's Garden.
