Lamoreaux, Thomas Henry Thomas Henry Lamoreaux, 89, of Balch Springs, Texas, passed away on February 9, 2012, in the Dallas Veterans Hospital. Tom volunteered to join the Navy at a very young age during World War II, serving on various support ships including the USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier. After his discharge, he worked as a commercial plumber and was a member of the Dallas Pipefitters Union until he retired and spent most of his time tending to his cows on his farm in Monkstown in Fannin County. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alma Louise and step-son, Jackie Norman. He leaves behind to cherish his memories many close friends including: Warren and Jean Evans, Joe and Sylvia Lopez, Mike Walker, his caregiver and friend Merci Gongora, and many neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
