Mom, I was thinking about the first Texas Jam that we went to. We had a great time and sang along to all of the songs we knew. So many memories. How you took in Richard's daughters and treated them as your own grandchildren. How you used to make cookies and Rice Krispie treats for me when I was growing up. How when we were running low on money, we fed Rex chicken noodle soup. How you would stand by me when I got in trouble. You stood by me but the punishment was always there also. I love you mom and miss you already. Still trying to find my way through this but I have some comfort knowing you are at peace now, I love you mom.

Sharon and I were co-workers and friends for many years.  She was always a great support during times when I needed a someone to talk to.  Since both of us loved dogs you know that we shared many stories about our dogs....some hilarous and then there were those that were heartbreaking.  I am very glad that she was my friend.  Till we meet again my friend........

Remembering our friend Sharon, who asked for so little but gave so very much. You will never be forgotten and will live on in our hearts.            



When I think of Grandma Sharon, I hear her distinct voice and tone as clear as day.  
I never was a big talker on the phone, but Grandma Sharon always pulled conversations out of me.  
My brother, Jason, and I would chuckle when we would practically end a conversation and she would always carry it on. 
I recall a time when I was headed to see a movie and called her to say hello on my drive.  I remember telling her “okay, I’m at the movie now so I’ve gotta go” and she’d turn the conversation and continue it with “what movie are you going to see?” and we’d talk for another 10min haha.  
We’d talk about her rascally dogs she always ended up with and she’d ask about my sweet pup, Benson.   
About 6yrs ago I began to save the cards and letters she would write and send.  I remember noticing her handwriting getting shakey, but nothing would stop her from sending a card.  
She would always send a little money but would always wrap it in lined paper in a way that made it hard for anyone to tell that money was inside.  
I do this same thing now, and always smile thinking of her.  

I also saved a voice recording from a message she left me years ago and it is on my desktop on my laptop.  Though I don’t need a voice recording to hear her voice, I’m grateful to have the recording.

Sharon and I were co-workers and friends for many years.  I remember the day she had to let her dog cross the rainbow bridge.  We both cried a ton of tears (only dog lovers would understand that).  Our friendship grew during the years. She and Kim attended my sons wedding.  Always smiling and positive, she was the ray of sunshine when things weren’t going well.  I cherish many wonderful memories of Sharon and thank God she was a part of my life.  RIP my friend.  Until we meet again 🙏💜

Mom,  that in itself is such a strong word.  But my mom was so much more than that.  She was my confidant, support system, sometimes my partner in crime.  She was a fun loving, beautiful woman both inside and out.  And she gave me my moral compass although I didn't always follow it.  Most of all, she welcomed my friends and she was pretty much a second mom to them.  She loved her wrestling, her music loud, El Fenix and her many dogs she adopted through the years.  She was such a strong woman and handled her problems with strength and dignity.  She loved her children and grandchildren so much.  She had many friends through the years and kept in touch with alot of them.  These are a few of the words to describe her but there's so many more.  And she has no idea how much she will be missed by everyone.  I know that she is in a better place and with our family and her dogs that preceded her.  My mom.  I still can't believe that she's gone from my life.  I still have alot of wonderful memories; I just won't be able to make more.  I love you so much Mom.  Your Loving Daughter, Kim.

I'm so sorry for your lost. 
But she's in a better place no more pain nor suffering. She will be missed, and always remembered but never forgotten. I'm here if you need to talk, or someone to laugh or cry with.. RIP


 I got the call a little after midnight that I knew was inevitable, but at the same time, never wanted to get.
 My Mom had passed away from the final stages of a crippling disease called Dementia.
 She had to be put in a nursing home in November as she had become too much for my sister to care for her at her home. In February she was rushed to the hospital as the final decline in health started. Ultimately, she was taken back to the nursing home and put on hospice care.
 She refused to eat or drink which made us realize that she didn’t have much time left, preparing us for her journey home to her parents, the many dogs she loved and rescued through the years, and the rest of our small family which have already passed on.
 I attribute many of the interests and traits I currently have back to my Mom including my sense of humor, love of music, love of rescuing and training dogs, and yes..driving fast with the wind in my hair as her early cars didn’t have A/C.
 She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and after a game we’d discuss who did well and who didn’t and what needs to happen next. 
 She still enjoyed reading the newspaper, even used a large magnifying glass up to the point of her eyes not focusing well enough to read it.
 She loved going to the movies and would do so by herself until she wasn’t  able to drive anymore.
 Mom also loved her morning coffees.
She lived alone through most of her years, twice divorced, with multiple pet dogs along the way.
I believe she got used to her privacy but also looked forward to visits from her two kids or grandkids and lunch or dinner invites. 
Her infectious laugh and sense of humor, her directness in expressing her thoughts without much of a filter, and her being there just as a Mom, someone to call when you had a problem or  needed a shoulder to lean on and needed to hear her thoughts and rely on her guidance.
Mom finally found the peace she deserved in God's hands.

I worked with  Sharon at TX  Oncology for many years when I lived in Dallas. She was a friend and coworker that I remember as sweet , nice and loving person.
