Sharon Kurtz was born in Gerard Kansas on June 22, 1943, to Otto and Evelyn Bailey.
Sharon graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in nursing. After a long career in nursing in Houston and Dallas, Sharon went on to receive her doctorate degree from Walden University in 2017. More recently, Sharon has been authoring several books, including the Fab Four and War Bride.
Sharon was married to Richard Kurtz M.D. on October 31, 1970. After 37 years of marriage, Sharon was preceded in death by Richard on November 25, 2007.
Sharon is survived by her three sons, Kevin, Richard and Brett, their spouses Suzanne, Helen and Christi, her grandchildren Makayla, Preston, Natalie, Grant and Quinten. She is also survived by her sisters Joan Redlon and Greta DeMoss.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Calvary Hill Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill North Chapel in Dallas Texas with Monsignor Zimmerman officiating. Committal will immediately follow mass.
