Sarah Valdez

January 19, 1928 - June 1, 2016

Sarah Valdez entered into rest peacefully in her sleep on June 1, 2016 of natural causes in Dallas, Texas at Brentwood Healthcare Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Sarah was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Tia to those she left behind. She was born to Cleotilde Olivarez and Francisco Valdez, whom preceded her in death. Her husband Concepcion “Tony” Jimenez also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving sister, Paula Suniga. She is also survived by her children: Joe Jimenez; Johnny Jimenez; Jesse Jimenez; Tony Jimenez; Raymond & (wife) Ana Jimenez; Suzie Jimenez; Paul & (wife) Linda Ayala Jimenez; and Guadalupe Jimenez. She was Tia to Amelia, her husband Victor, and son Brandon.

She leaves behind several grandchildren: Celina & (husband) Robert Russell; Michael Jimenez; Alex Jimenez; Christina Jimenez; Crystal Rivera; Valerie Ayala; Michael Rodriguez; Joe Jimenez Jr.; Sophia Jimenez; Moses Jimenez; Jason Jimenez; Sylvia Jimenez; Sarah Jimenez; and Mary Ann Jimenez. She was blessed with great-grandchildren: Joe V. Jimenez III; Anthony A. Jimenez; Marilyn Jimenez; Christopher Pacheco; Mariah Jimenez; Jayci Jimenez; Laynee Lynn Garcia; Emiliana Munoz, Noah Russell, and Japheth Russell.

Her legacy will continue to live on through her great-great-grandchildren: Elyse R. Jimenez and Eleyna G. Jimenez.

Our family would like to thank the staff at the Brentwood Center for the love and care that they showed “Mama” Sarah.

Sarah’s memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Thereafter, a small reception will be held in the Calvary Hill Funeral Home reception room.
