Being a person who wanted people to know that he could take any pain, jumped up off the ground stating to everyone, "that he felt NO pain" and that it didn't hurt him at all, was then call "S" man like Superman and wanted to live up to it from here on in. He was referred to as Daddy, Grandpa & Dad Whitley by his children and grandchildren to which they ALL shared this wit about him. He kept them all in practice until this very day as she shared a story of his teacher encouraging him to learn his Alphabet (backwards). He greatly mastered it with swift recollection. For years, at Events, on the phone, as a greeting, during casual conversation, and even serious moments when you least expected it... you guessed it, he would resight the Alphabet backwards. ALL, would attempt to match the challenge, it was Hilarious!
