Rosaura C. Alvarez, went to God's care on July 1, 2011. Born March 9, 1928 in Monterrey, Mexico to Pablo and Juanita Cuellar. Preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Juan M. Alvarez. "Rosa" worked for many years as a professional seamstress for several Dallas area clothing manufacturers in what is now referred to as the Dallas West End. Included in these companies is Herman Marcus of the Stanley (and Neiman) Marcus retail clothier. Rosaura's memory will be cherished by her daughter, Rosa Nelly Mitchell and husband Napoleon, and sons, Juan J. Alvarez: Paul M. Alvarez and wife Carmen: Ruben R. Alvarez and Maria; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. She will also be missed by numerous relatives and also her dear friends from St Pius X Catholic Church in Dallas. Visitation will be at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 8:30 to 12:30. Rosary will also be in the Chapel from 12:30 to 1:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the Calvary Hill Cemetery North Mausoleum Chapel on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM.
