Rosa N Marquez

She married Michael Marquez on July 22, 1989, celebrating almost 35 years of marriage. The couple had three children, whom she loved with all her heart.

Known affectionately as Rosita by her coworkers, Rosa worked for Dallas Independent School District for about 28 years. She also dedicated many years of her life to McShan’s Florist, where her creativity and passion for floral design brought joy to many. Rosa was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and cherished spending time with her loved ones.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Rebeca Deleon, her in-laws, Manuel and Viola Marquez, Aunt and Uncle, Juan and Rosaura Alvarez.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Marquez, children: Mariellena Marquez-Alcorta, Michael Marquez, and Aaron Marquez, as well as granddaughters: Catalina and Delani Marquez, and brothers and sisters: Jose Deleon, Paul Deleon, Silvia Deleon, and Laura Deleon, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Yolanda Marquez, Rachel Puente, Maryann Rodriguez and Paul Marquez, along with other family and friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 4pm-8pm, with a rosary from 6pm-7pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place June 6, 2024, from 10am-11am at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
