Rolland Whitt, Jr. aka "Mane" was born to Dorothy Mae and Rolland Whitt, Sr. on March 18, 1968 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at a young age in his hometown.
He was educated at R. Nelson Snider High School where he received his diploma. Rolland was a free spirit he lived in several states including Tennessee, Georgia and lastly here in Texas. He loved living life to the fullest. He was never afraid of adventure. He would ride his motorcycle to cities all over the country. He was known for his love of everyone. He never met a stranger. He had the biggest heart that stretched to love anyone and everyone. He never held a grudge and was always willing to help.
Rolland embodied the scripture Matthew 18:4 “Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Anyone that knew Rolland knows he was humble as a child and his energy could be felt. He was a karaoke king, when he hit the stage, between his dancing and singing he commanded the room. He would love to sing even if he did not know all the right words. He loved any kind of sports you could imagine. He knew stats and statistics like nobody’s business. He loved to talk about any and everything. If you ever met him, you were in for a long conversation. He was genuinely concerned about whoever he connected with and tried his best to be your friend.
He possessed the greatest gift of all time “LOVE”. If you ever met Rolland, you know he loved you and wanted the best for you. He had one of the purest hearts in the earth. He leaves behind a legacy of purity, love and generosity!
He leaves to cherish his memory: parents Rolland Whitts Sr. and Dorothy Mae (Collins) Whitt; sisters LaSonya Whitt, Zendra Whitt and Latonna Whitt; brothers Romulus Whitt and Remus Whitt; nephews Jacquel Whitt, Isaiah Whitt and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.
