One of Bob's most remarkable achievements was designing components for the Synchronized Position Hold, Engage, Reorient, Experimental Satellites (SPHERES) on the International Space Station. His passion for his work was evident when he lovingly engraved the names of his wife and daughter on one of the SPHERES components, creating a unique and lasting bond between his family and his groundbreaking work in space.
