Robert Charles Lange, a 40-year resident of Irving, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 9, 2012. Bob was born in St. Louis, MO on February 24, 1928 to Rev. Robert and Lillian Lange. After graduating from the Missouri School of Mines with a degree in petroleum engineering, he worked in the oil drilling industry for over 30 years. He held various management positions with international on and offshore drilling companies, traveling through out the world. After retiring, he volunteered for many years with the DFW Ambassador program,
the Greater Irving Republican Club and served on the board of the Irving-Las Colinas Board of Realtors.
His wife, Evelyn Kucera Lange, and daughter, Kathryn Ann Lange, predeceased him. He is survived by his son Bob and wife Diana of
Castle Rock, CO; daughter Susan and husband Bill Banowsky of University Park, TX; grandchildren: William and wife Callie, Robert, and Benton Banowsky, Ava, Luci, and Lily-Anne Lange; sister Marian and husband Don Piehler of Laguna Woods, CA and brother Paul and wife Delva of Marion, IN; and brother and sister-in-law Rev. Ed and Irene Kucera of Hermitage, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob will be remembered by his family and friends for his quiet confidence, steadfast faith and devotion to the Lord.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 7611 Park Lane, Dallas, TX 75225 with the Rev. Brent
McGuire officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rev. Robert G. & Lillian Lange Student Aid Endowment at Concordia Seminary, 801 Seminary Place, St. Louis, MO 63105 or to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church’s Senior Care Ministry.
