Robert Urteaga Gamez

Robert Urteaga Gamez, age 95, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 7, 1928, in Wingate, Texas to Miguel and Juanita Gamez. Roberto was raised in Wingate, TX. He married Pascula Pedroza on December 25th 1948 and the couple had 3 children.

He was a jet inspector at Aviall where he worlded till 1993 and retired. He then drove the bus for Irving Senior Center for the next 10 years. His spare time enjoyed building bird houses, gardening and tending to his wife's roses. He was also known to tinker around with engines in his tool shed. He loved cheering on the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving and kind man. Always willing to lend a hand to those in need.

He is preceded in death by: His parents, Miguel and Juanta; his son, Edward; his brothers, Al and Jim; his sister, Minnie; his nephew, Richard; and his grandson Justin.

He is survived by: His wife, Pascula; his daughter, Henrietta; his son, Alexander; his sisters, Olivia, Mary, Lupe and Elizabeth; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grand children; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

He loved to travel with his wife. He was very active with members of the Irving Senior Center. He will be dearly missed bay all who knew him.

A visitation will be held November 9, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, with a Rosary scheduled for 6:30pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N. Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX. 75247. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am at St. Luke Catholic Church 202 S MacArthur Blvd. Irving, TX 75060. An interment will follow at 11:30AM at Crown Hill Cemetery, 9178 Webb Chapel Rd, Dallas, TX 75220.
