An avid lover of all things with motors, he collected, worked on, drove, raced and adored classic muscle cars, motorcycles, and trucks. He was a loving and talented father that excelled at everything he put his mind to, and dedicated to his children. He had a great quirky sense of humor that was appreciated by everyone who knew him or he came in contact with. An avid history buff, he could answer any question better than a professor could, and he loved taking his wife and children to car shows, air shows and museums all across the nation whenever he had the opportunity to show them a bit of history. He loved classic rock, played the guitar, loved collecting and shooting guns on the range, and loved spending time camping and traveling with his kids and wife, not to mention a shot of good whiskey on occasion.
Richard is lovingly survived by his wife, Beckie, six children, ten grandchildren, his mother, Evelyn Morehead, two sisters, and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his father, Bruce Morehead.
Richard will be cremated and his ashes taken with his wife, on all the further adventures God sees fit to bestow on them, and create new stories for all his of family and friends to enjoy. May God cradle him in his everlasting arms.
