Reece Thompson Barbara

Reece was born on June 21, 2002, in Plano, TX. Reece lived in Dallas, TX. She spent her elementary and middle school years at St.Rita Catholic School, graduated from Hillcrest High school in 2020, and attended Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO.

Reece loved to play rugby, cheerlead, and snowboard. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends, loved all animals, and had a passion for the beauty industry. Nothing made Reece happier than our regular family shopping outings. She loved being on the water, especially at the lake, where she was always surrounded by her friends, family, and her water sports. As a frequent flyer, Reece was always up for a family adventure. Reece had the most amazing smile.

Reece is survived by her father, Daniel Barbara, her mother, Stacy Barbara, her sister, Alexandra Cason Barbara (27), her brother, Gage Richard Barbara (25), and her sister, Sofia Marie Barbara (22), her grandfather, "Yogi" Barbara of Dallas, TX, grandfather, Harley Thompson of Nogales, AZ and grandmother, Lee Ann Hamilton of The Woodlands, TX. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Reece was loved by all, and will be immensely missed.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 7th, from 5:00PM-7:00PM, with a rosary at 6:30 PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 8th, 12:00PM, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 12521 Inwood Rd. Dallas, TX. Inurnment will be private. Flowers are welcome.
