With a fighting spirit, Raymond passed peacefully with his beloved wife, Lydia by his side.
He was born in Cameron, Texas on August 31, 1940 to Eleuterio and Remigia Orta. He was the oldest of 13 siblings. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and 1 sister.
Raymond did everything for his "Honey". He was a devoted and beloved husband, father, grand-father and great grand-father.
Raymond and Lydia were married on January 2, 1965. They were married for 57 years and were the best parents, grand-parents and great grand-parents any one could ask for.
Raymond loved spending time with his grand-children. He often played tricks and jokes on them. He also took them on many trips and outings.He was a hard working man. He worked at Glitsch Inc. for over thirty years. He was also an amateur boxer in his early years. He enjoyed shooting pool in his spare time.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.
Left to mourn his loss are, his wife Lydia, children, Angela, David and Rebecca, grand-children, Alexa, Ashley, Angel, Andrew, Frosty, Desiree, Frankie, Adrian, Ariana and Natalie. He is also survived by five great grand-children, four brothers, Cruz, Felix, Eleuterio Jr., Ernest Orta and one sister Virginia Ortez.

A visitation for Raymond will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy., Dallas, TX 75232. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232.
