Rae Solomon was born to Leb & Shaindel Tamsky in Minneapolis, MN and passed away September 19, 2011 in Dallas. Rae was preceded in death by husband of nearly 50 years, Irving Solomon. She is survived by daughter, Joanie Geffen; son, Dr. Stuart Solomon; grandchildren: Wendi Geffen, Stephanie Cohen, Robyn Solomon & Mindy Solomon; and great-grandchildren: Joshua Duby, Cameron Duby & Spencer Cohen. Rae was a member of Temple Emanu-El for over 50 years, a Docent with the Dallas Museum of Art for over 25 years and a beloved book reviewer for 20 years. Rae received her Master’s in Art History later in life. She was an interior designer, painter, sculptor, and classical pianist who brought color & warmth into everyone’s life. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
