R.C. Brown was born on January 26, 1936, in Carthage, Texas, to Dessie Mae Brown. R.C. was raised by his grandmother and grandfather, Ella and Rather Brown. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He attended B.F. Darrell School and after he completed his education he began working at Baylor Hospital. In 1960, R.C. met and married the Love of his Life, Ms. Bettie Ruth Chambers, and to this union three children were born. After R.C. became a husband and then a father, he decided to begin working at Texas Instruments for twenty-three years until his retirement. R.C. was a hard working man. After his retirement he continued to work at Dallas County Schools for twelve years and then Dallas Dialysis Clinic for seven years. On Sunday, March 12, 2017, surrounded by his family, R.C. entered into his eternal home, being welcomed with open arms by his grandparents, Ella and Rather Brown; his mother, Dessie Mae Brown; his sister, Erma Jean Fisher; his brother, Steve Wade, Jr.; and his son, Robert Charles Brown. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six and a half years; two daughters, Jacqueline Brown and Gwendolyn Brown; three grandchildren, Gweniqua Brown, Jasmine Grigsby and Kendrick Brown; great-grandson, Damon Thomas, Jr., and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
