He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 20, 1942, to parents Dr. Leonard and Madeline Macaluso. Paul graduated from Niles Township High School, Bradley University and received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas. He served as a Dallas County Assistant District Attorney for many years and retired as a federal prosecutor, Assistant United States Attorney, for the Northern District of Texas.
He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity Delta Rho Chapter, the State Bar of Texas, enrolled as an attorney in the Supreme Court of Texas. In 2020, Paul was recognized by the State Bar of Texas for services rendered to the Community, State and Nation as a State Bar member for more than fifty years. Paul enjoyed racing sports cars through the Sports Car Club of America, restoring vintage cars with an expertise in Speedsters, cooking, travel and was known for his wonderfully witty sense of humor. He was adored by his family and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Leonard A. Macaluso, Madeline Macaluso (Kozma); his brother, John Macaluso and stepdaughter, Shannon Lesly (Chris).

A visitation for Paul will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel followed by a gathering of family and friends.
