Patt was born in Dallas to Phillip Torti and Delia Marguerite McNamara Torti on July 15, 1924.
She attended Woodrow Wilson High School and graduated from Crozier Tech. Patt continued on to North Texas Agricultural College, which is now the University of Texas at Arlington.
Patt worked for a short period of time after attending NTAC at The Cotton Exchange until a gentleman from Crum and Foster stated to Patt's boss "He was going to hire her away from him." and that was when she became an employee of Crum and Foster Insurance Agency. She remained with this company (which was purchased and sold many times during her tenure) until her retirement.
She was a member of the Insurance Women of Dallas for many years and enjoyed her time going to national conventions in different cities around the country. She also enjoyed time as a member of Insurance Women of Dallas Past President organization.
During World War II she would travel the country via train competing in Tennis tournaments entertaining the troops with her high level of tennis skills. As a savvy competitor she often told stories of how she would make a comment to her opponent while changing court sides at the net to throw them off their game. She won numerous single and double tournaments, winning many trophies.
Patt loved adventures and if you ever traveled with her no telling where you could end up. She took her many nieces, nephews and cousins all over Texas when they were younger. Once she even ventured up to Oklahoma where they were chased back to Texas with a tornado hot on their heels! Travel was not limited to the continental United States. She visited other countries with friends and family as well. While in Rome she visited the Vatican and toured parts of Italy where some of her ancestors hailed from. She and her cousin Jacqueline, visited Ireland, rented a car and traveled around the country side tracking down old family castles, villages and towns where their Irish family had once lived.
Since 1974 Patt was a member of the Catholic Daughter's Court Mary Immaculate. Where during this time she served 3 years as a District Deputy. Patt loved devoting her time also to The Sodality at the Cathedral de Guadalupe, The Ladies of Charity, and helping at St. Jude's Chapel in downtown Dallas.
Patt took the most pride in her service to the church and tried to live her faith which was witnessed by and attested to by those who were enriched by her love.
Patt was preceded in death by her mother and father Phillip and Delia Marguerite Torti and niece Teresa Torti.
Patt is survived by her brother Phillip Torti (Bettye), nieces and nephews, Phil (Bub) Torti, Victoria Alanis (Robert), Bernice Lorance (Jerry) and John Torti. There are numerous other beloved cousins, family and friends.
