Patricia Jane Rost

Patricia Jane Rost Shilstone passed away, at the age of 94, on August 28, 2018, at her residence in Irving, TX. Patricia was born in Philadelphia on July 29, 1924, to John and Kathryn Brooks and was raised in Philadelphia where she met Duane Rost when he attended the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania while in the Navy. They married in 1945. Following Duane’s passing in 1994, and their loving marriage of forty-eight years, she accepted Jim Shilstone’s hand in marriage in 1998. He preceded her death, as did her younger sister, Barbara Justice. Patricia is survived by her three children and their spouses, Wendy Tibbets Bleecker and John Bleecker, Mark and Susan Rost, Randall and Christine Rost, her five grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Shae Tibbets, Timothy Rost, Kathryn and Patrick Brensinger, Robert Rost and Erin Fernandez, Jennifer Rost and Matthew Burke and by three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brensinger, Kendall Brensinger, and Jonathan Rost.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 31, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX. A memorial service will be held at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving, Saturday, September 1, at 11:30 a.m.
