At an early age, he professed his faith in Christ. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Dallas, TX where he joined the band and become a great drummer and the director of the band. Professionally, Norman began his career in broadcast television in Dallas, TX and spent 20 years working with local networks providing engineering and operational support. Norman then moved to the Washington Metropolitan area, where he supported the National Reconnaissance Office. Norman was an award winning Six Sigma Process Improvement Consultant with over 25 years serving a variety of both government and civilian clients. Norman was known for his ability to gain a deep understanding of a client's needs and then create a vision and process for successful outcomes. Norman was an avid fisherman and enjoyed those times on his boat doing what he loved most. Norman was also a gifted singer and enjoyed entertaining.
Precious memories will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife Susan Jones.
He is survived by his wife Susan Jones of Haymarket, VA, mother Elouise Easley Shreveport, LA; his three children, Celina Downs, Dionne Jones Kirby and Philip Allen Jones all of Dallas, TX; his brothers, Maurice Woods (Leticia) of Dallas, TX; Gerald Gamble of Marshall, TX; his brother in law Brian Jennings (Philip) of Palm Springs, CA; his sisters, Pamela Weaver (Jeff), Robin Jones, Yvonne Jones all of Shreveport, LA. One beautiful granddaughter Tiana Bynoe-Downs, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Jones, brother Tony Davis, sister Jacqueline Niles, and sister-in-law Wanda Gamble.
