Nora Petty Loveland ninety-nine of Dallas, Texas, died 10/10/2024 in Dallas, Texas of natural causes. She was born 7/7/1925, to William Luther Petty and Isabel Francis Petty near McLean, Texas. Nora married Wesley E. Loveland on 7/7/1943 in Sayre, Oklahoma and divorced.
She was a Senior Accounting Clerk at Mobile Oil for many years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of and regularly attended Park Cities Baptist Church.
She is survived by six nieces: Ann Hutchinson, Paddi McDaniel, Ann Amerson, (Guy) Joan Arnold (Eddie), Penny Petty (Harold Morehead) and Joy Miller (Dan), and five nephews; Vernon Kennedy (Teresa), David Petty (Kathy), Robert Petty (Tess), Gary Petty (Kathy) and Doug Petty (Cindy).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister Zora Billingsley and her brothers Francis Petty, Harold Petty, Herman Petty.
Nora thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years and took several trips with her longtime friend Dorothy Jackson. From her childhood on the farm and later at her residence at the Five Star Premier retirement community in Dallas, she loved playing games.
A funeral service to honor Nora will be held on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225. Nora will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo, TX.
