Nelda Yvonne Wood

Nelda Yvonne Wood, age 79, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020. Nelda was born August 17, 1940 in Columbus, Mississippi to Selena and Luther Smith. After moving to Texas she lived in Grand Prairie for 47 years and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Grand Prairie and Mayfield Road Baptist Church in Arlington.

She is preceded in death by husbands, Jesse Turnipseed, Johnny May and Woody Wood; sister, Joyce Sanders and brother, Raymond Smith.

Nelda is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Mary McKinney and husband, Jim and Pamela Thomas and husband, Gary; granddaughters, Jess Vanover and fiance Alec Pena, Rio Thomas, Haley McKinney; two grandsons, Bobby Vanover III and wife Carly and Christopher McKinney; great grandchildren,

Lylah and Lincoln Vanover and Landon Honeycutt and several nieces and nephews.
