Nelda Ann Cook

Nelda Ann Gibbons Cook, 77, of Desoto, Texas died on July 12, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. Nelda was born November 4, 1940 to Floyd and Pearl(Hart) Gibbons. She was married to Joe Donald Cook for many years. She attended public school in Gilmer, Texas and Adamson High School in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from El Centro College in Dallas with a degree in Computer Sciences. She had a very long career as a computer programmer for various companies. She also worked part-time for Home Interiors for 25+ years. She retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield in 2012.

Nelda is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Pearl Gibbons and her brother Dwayne Gibbons.

Nelda is survived by three sons, Joe Stanton Cook & wife , Colleen, of Dallas, Bradford Ray Trenton Cook & wife April, of Hillsboro, David Lorn Brenton Cook & wife, Wendy, of Corsicana; one daughter, Katharenia Ann Cook (Dave) of Ennis; one brother, Kenneth Gibbons, of Dallas; two sisters, Rita Brand & husband Dwight, of Garland, and Yvonne Stuart & husband, Charlie, of Cedar Hill; ten grandchildren, Clint Cook, Clay Cook, Kara Botschon, Kallie Botschon, Jessica Crase, Ally Cook, Abby Cook, Katy Cook, Bailey Cook, and Samantha Cook; three great-grandchildren, Santiago, Tyler, and Juliet; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
