Morgan was born on August 18, 1935 in Vernon, Texas. He spent his childhood all over Texas and married the love of his life on January 27, 1961 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a Major in the Air Force and Vietnam war veteran, and a gifted carpenter. He and Betty spent their days traveling in the motor home, riding their motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends at Lake Tawakani. Morgan’s booming voice, his colorful stories, and his firm hugs will be greatly missed by everyone he leaves behind.
His family is grateful for their time with him before his passing, spent sharing memories, getting practical advice for life without him, and looking forward to reuniting with him in Heaven.
A graveside service will be held on October 11 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 8:45am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Morgan’s honor to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
