Mrs. Mary Agnes (Costello) Wagner

Mrs. Mary Agnes (Costello) Wagner, age 97, of Dallas, Texas passed away on Sunday July 21, 2019. Mary was born May 14, 1922 and first of eight children born to Patrick and Mary Costello in Boston, Massachusetts. Both of Mary's parents immigrated to the United States from Ireland around 1916. On August 24, 1947, she met and married the love of her life, Thomas H. Wagner in Boston, Massachusetts. Mary has resided in several destinations in her lifetime, she has lived in Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Virginia, Germany, and Dallas, Texas. Outside of spending time with her family and friends, Mary loved to read and travel extensively and gardening. Mary was a devout Catholic all of her life and will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature.

Mary is preceded in death by both of her parents, Patrick M. Costello and Mary (Gannon) Costello; her beloved husband, Thomas H. Wagner; her loving daughter, Barbara M. Wagner; her sisters, Catherine Costello and Regina Mansfield; her brothers, Patrick J. Costello, Michael Costello, and Thomas Costello; her brother in laws, Howard Wagner and wife Sally Wagner, and Robert Wagner and wife Beryl Wagner.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted son, Richard T. Wagner and his ex-wife Marita; her grandson, Scott Wagner and his wife, Erin; her great-grandchildren, Robert Wagner and Jason Wagner; her sisters, Della Tallent, Margaret Costello (Sister Mary Patrick); her sister in law and close friend for 72 years, Florence Raymond; her late daughter's fiancé of many years, John Mathieu; her son's stepdaughter, Angela Sawyer and her husband Frank Oberer; Angela's children, Michael Sawyer, Carianne Sawyer, and Katie Oberer; Angela's grandchildren, Braden and Braleigh and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
