Mary Opal Hart Rogers, 77, peacefully departed this life early on Saturday May 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born October 1, 1944, in Gilmer Texas to the late Eugene & Odessa Hart. She attended and graduated from Bruce High School. She received Christ at an early age and was a was a member of the Cyprus Street, Church of Christ in Gilmer, during her early years.
Mary, had a son Reginald Todd Hart. She later married Tom Rogers, and from this union, one child was born, Tomika Rogers. She loved attending church, going out to eat, and spending time with her family.
She began her career in Dallas and was employed many years with Texas Instruments and Southwest Airlines.
She retired from Baylor University Medical Center. Mary’s later years after retirement, she worked at Target. There she developed many friendships and was known for her soft voice over the intercom always delivering words of encouragement with her closing messages. She remained a faithful Christian for her entire life, and was a faithful member of the Dallas West Church of Christ and Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
