Mary Lucille Gross

Mary Curtis Gross, age 87 of McKinney, formerly of Mesquite, passed away on August 31, 2015. She was born on April 16, 1928 in Wills Point, TX, the daughter of Carl Curtis and Mattie Jane Pickens. On November 25, 1949, she married Marion Davis Gross, who precedes her in death.

Mary was a member and active at the Little Bethel Assembly of God in Dallas. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and traveling with her husband to visit family. Her greatest joy was her family and friends and she had a heart of gold that touched many people’s lives.

Mary is survived by her children Marilyn Riddoch and husband Dave of Eustace, daughter Betty Bell of Plano, and John Gross of McKinney; grandchildren Ruth Ann Welty, Mary Jo LeMay, Heather Riddoch, Daniel Riddoch, Jason Bell and Rachel Gibbons; 15 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; brother Leonard Curtis and wife Jeannie of Seagoville, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Carolyn Gross, son David Gross, granddaughter Rhonda Yanes, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 6-8 PM, with funeral services on Friday, September 4 at 10 AM, both at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
