Mary Ann was born December 6, 1932, in Louisville, Kentucky to Grace Belle Huber and John Louis Eschrich. She graduated from Nazareth College (now Spalding University) with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics (cum laude) in 1954.
After jobs with Brown-Forman and General Electric Company, she moved to Dallas, Texas in 1960 to join her sister, Joan Eschrich, at Texas Instruments. Mary Ann retired with TI after 31 years working in Market Research and as Operations Manager for Corporate Relations. While dedicating her life to her faith and work, Mary Ann volunteered with the Dallas Handweavers Guild by demonstrating weaving at Weir’s Furniture Store and the Dallas Blooms Festival at the Dallas Arboretum. Mary Ann loved books, movies, opera and sporting events. More importantly, she attended daily Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church, where she participated in various activities, particularly Bible Studies and adult education.
Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Joan Eschrich, and many lifelong friends. We gratefully acknowledge the wonderful care given to Mary Ann by The Tradition-Lovers Lane over the last six years of her life.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery, North Chapel, with Msgr. Donald Zimmerman and Fr. Wade Bass, concelebrating.
