Mark was born in Greenville, TX, on November 9, 1940, to the late Gid J. Young and Frankie M. Florence. He was raised in Dallas and attended both Bryan Adams and Woodrow Wilson High Schools during the late 1950’s.
His love of cars led him to become a pioneer in the automotive air conditioning business. In 1973, he founded Service Electric Supply, Inc. and remained the President all these many years later. He was a prior member of IMACA, SEMA, MACS and a former Board of Directors member of the Texas Limousine Association. Some of his other passions included spending time with his family, gun collecting boating and ranching.
Mark leaves behind his wife and partner of 25 years, Leanne Young, daughters Paula Noll and husband Bob of Richardson, Kelley O’Neal of Farmers Branch, brother Gary Young of Denison, grandchildren Kallie, Chessie and Katy Luptak and Robert and Anthony Noll, nephew Brian Young and wife Kirsten and niece Taylor Young and many of his devoted employees.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Kathy Hamilton Hooper for the abundance of love, support and late nights over the last several months; you are truly an answered prayer for our family.
A memorial service will be held this coming Friday (November 2nd) at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX, 75225. Service will start promptly at noon, with a short reception to follow.
