Mrs. Potts was born on October 15, 1924 in Lake Benton, Minnesota to Evelyn Colby and Martin Schrader. She grew up in Minneapolis and St. Paul where she graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Nursing in 1945.
She married Dr. Robert J. Potts in 1947 and they lived in Michigan, Hawaii, New York and New Jersey before moving to Dallas in 1953.
She was preceded in death by her two precious daughters, Lianne and Leslie. Mrs. Potts is survived by her loving husband of 68 years; two beloved daughters, Lauren Barrett and Lisa Vivatson and her dear "surrogate" daughter, Patrizia Toledano. She is also survived by grandchildren; Robert Barrett, Jennifer and Chris Barrret Hernandez, Laura, Sara, and Anna Vivatson, and David Toledano; son-in-laws, Reed Vivatson and Luis Toledano.
Mrs. Potts died on October 3, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She loved her friends, painting, volunteer work, sewing, needlework, art, classical music, opera, Texas, travelling - but most of all, she loved her family.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the chapel of Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at that time. Immediately following the service, an interment will be held at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
