Marcia Fischer Webb was born June 19, 1964 in Chicago, IL to Doris Fischer and Budd Fischer. Her life was cut-short on June 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She graduated Highland Park High School in Highland Park, IL and the University of Illinois. She met and married the love of her life, James H. Webb in 1996.
Having a love of fashion and design, Marcia began her career as a shoe buyer for Marshal Fields Department stores in Chicago, IL. After meeting James, and after a long distance courtship, she moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1995 and began a second career as Director of Marketing for regional nursing and retirement home chain. In 2001 and following the birth of their two children, Max and Joey, Marcia and James moved to Plano, TX where she became a full-time Mom and passionate volunteer at Congregation Beth Torah. She also started her own company, Marcia Fischer Interiors and focused on Medical office design and decor. While she truly enjoyed her work, nothing gave Marcia more pleasure than being a wife to James and mother to her sons Max and Joey and step-daughter Elizabeth. Marcia will be remembered by family and friends as the consummate hostess and second Mom to all of their kids. Her compassion for others and singular focus on helping her friends and family will be missed.
She is survived by her husband James, children Max and Joey, her step-daughter Elizabeth, her grandson North, parents Doris Fischer and Budd and Janet Fischer, Jane and J.R. Johnson, and Jim and Eve Webb. Her siblings Randi and Robb Feder, Scott and Chris Fischer, brother-in-laws Ronnie Joe and his wife Maria Webb, and Chris and his wife Jill Webb. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Mary Ann, Mary Katherine, Alex, Rachel, Seth, Stephen, Reagan, Ashley, Sarah, Rachel, Kennedy, John Walker, numerous aunts and uncles, extended family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, June 18 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home Northwest Highway Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX followed by a funeral in Chicago on Wednesday, June 20. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Congregation Beth Torah, Rabbi Fund, 720 West Lookout Drive, Richardson, TX 75080 or the charity of your choice.
