Marcelyn Marie Thorson, 89, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. Marcy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Fitts in Houston on December 18, 1927, She attended Pratt Institute in New York City. Marcy married Edward Thorson, on June 16, 1956. After a career of 20 years at El- Centro College where she developed the fashion and design department, Marcy became a long time member of the Dallas Fashion Arts and The Fashion Group. Funeral service will be at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, on Tuesday March 7, at 1:00pm, She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
